Public Workshop on Methane, Dairies and Livestock, and Renewable Natural Gas in California: On March 29 via remote access, CARB will host a public workshop to discuss the State’s mandates for methane emissions reductions, dairy and livestock industry trends, dairy methane reduction programs, and regulations impacting dairy operations. Senate Bill 1383 (Lara, Chapter 395, Statutes of 2016) requires methane emissions from dairy and livestock operations to be reduced by 40 percent below 2013 levels by 2030. Stakeholders are encouraged to participate and share their perspectives.
Public Meeting on Health Risk Assessment Capacity Building: On March 29 via remote access, CARB will host a public session on Health Risk Assessments (HRA). This follow-up session will cover the roles and responsibilities of the air districts and CARB, an overview on HRAs and how government agencies use them to evaluate potential health impacts of air pollution emissions, and the different ways HRAs can be used by community members and advocates.
Assembly Bill 32 Environmental Justice Advisory Committee Virtual Meeting: On March 29 via Zoom, CARB will host a public meeting for the Assembly Bill (AB) 32 (Núñez, Chapter 488, Statutes of 2006) Environmental Justice Advisory Committee. The committee is comprised of representatives from California communities most heavily impacted by air pollution, including those communities with minority or low-income populations. This upcoming virtual meeting is open to the public and includes a public comment period.
AB 617 Consultation Group Virtual Meeting: On April 1 via remote access, CARB will host a public meeting for the AB 617 (Garcia Chapter, 136, Statutes of 2017) Consultation Group. Comprised of individuals representing environmental justice organizations, air districts, industry, academia, public health organizations, and local governments, the AB 617 Consultation Group facilitates these meetings to discuss various aspects of Community Air Protection Program implementation.
