Inglewood Oil Field Communities Air Monitoring Kickoff Meetings: On June 6 and June 7 in Culver City, CARB and the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment will host an in-person kickoff meeting and a virtual kickoff meeting, respectively, to discuss the Study of Neighborhood Air Near Petroleum Sources (SNAPS) program. This program seeks to better characterize air quality in communities located near oil and gas extraction operations and perform approximately one year of intensive air-quality monitoring in each selected community. Currently, Baldwin Hills and other communities near the Inglewood Oil Fields in Los Angeles County have been selected for SNAPS air monitoring. Public participation at the meeting and program involvement will be encouraged.
Public Workshop to Discuss Proposed On-Road Motorcycle Regulatory Amendments: On June 7 via remote access, CARB will host a public workshop to discuss proposed changes to on-road motorcycle emissions standards and test procedures. The draft regulatory text will be presented, and feedback will be solicited, before a final regulatory proposal is presented by staff to the Board later this year.
Public Workshop on the Fiscal Year 2023-24 Funding Plan for Clean Transportation Incentives: On June 8 via remote access, CARB will host a public workshop on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2023-24 Funding Plan for Clean Transportation Incentives. The plan will include CARB’s proposed investments from the Zero-Emission Vehicle funding package for Low Carbon Transportation Investments and Air Quality Improvement Program funds. This workshop will be the first in a series. CARB staff anticipates releasing a proposed FY 2023-24 Funding Plan in the fall of 2023 prior to Board consideration.
