Assembly Bill 32 Environmental Justice Advisory Committee Virtual Meeting: On January 25 via remote access, CARB will host a public meeting for the Assembly Bill (AB) 32 (Núñez, Chapter 488, Statutes of 2006) Environmental Justice Advisory Committee. The committee is comprised of representatives from California communities most heavily impacted by air pollution, including those communities with minority or low-income populations. This upcoming virtual meeting is open to the public and includes a public comment period.
Assembly Bill 617 Consultation Group Virtual Meeting: On January 25 via remote access, CARB will host a public meeting for the Assembly Bill (AB) 617 (Garcia, Chapter 136, Statutes of 2017) Consultation Group. Comprised of individuals representing environmental justice organizations, air districts, industry, academia, public health organizations, and local governments, the AB 617 Consultation Group facilitates these meetings to discuss various aspects of Community Air Protection Program implementation.
Public Work Group Meeting on Clean Transportation Equity Project Safeguards: On January 26 via remote access, CARB will hold a public work group meeting to discuss the proposed implementation of Fiscal Year (FY) 2021-22 Clean Transportation Equity Project safeguards for Cap-and-Trade auction revenue uncertainty. CARB staff will provide an overview of the proposal, discuss how the proposal will comply with Budget Act requirements, and address stakeholder questions and concerns.
Training Webinar on Truck and Bus Rule, Off-Road Regulation, and Portable Equipment Compliance Overview: On January 27 via webinar, CARB staff will hold a training webinar on compliance for the Truck and Bus Rule, Off-Road regulation, and the Portable Equipment Registration Program (PERP). The course will cover online reporting, current requirements, and future deadlines for both the Greenhouse Gas Reporting regulation and the Off-Road Diesel Vehicle regulation, and eligibility and requirements for PERP.
Board Meeting: On January 27 via webcast, the Board will hear the following agenda items: (1) consider the adoption of the California Clean Fuels for Fleets Certification for the 70 parts per billion Ozone Standard; (2) FY 2022-23 annual list of research projects; (3) 2021 Legislative update; and (4) CARB program priorities for 2022.
