Zero-Emission Showcase Ride & Drive: On August 14 in Oakland, CARB and CALSTART will host a Zero-Emission Showcase + Ride & Drive event featuring medium- and heavy-duty trucks (Class 2b-8), heavy-duty off-road equipment, school and transit buses, and commercial vans. The public will have the opportunity to explore these vehicles, and staff will provide information on funding programs to help with the purchase of these zero-emission transportation options.
Public Workshop on Potential Changes to the California Oil and Gas Methane Regulation: On August 15 via remote access, CARB will host a public workshop to discuss potential changes to the California Oil and Gas Methane Regulation in order to meet U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Emissions Guidelines requirements. CARB staff will present background information on the regulation, describe potential changes, and solicit feedback on specific questions. Spanish interpretation will be provided during the workshop.
Public Workshop on Fluorinated-Gas Reduction Incentive Program: On August 15 via remote access, CARB will host a public workshop in partnership with the North American Sustainable Refrigeration Council (NASRC) to discuss the Fluorinated-gas (F-gas) Reduction Incentive Program (FRIP). The workshop will focus on the Commercial and Industrial Refrigeration Draft Funding Guidelines, including the eligibility requirements and application process. The public will have the opportunity to provide feedback.
Scientific Review Panel Meeting: On August 16 in Sacramento and via remote access, CARB will organize a public meeting of the Scientific Review Panel on Toxic Air Contaminants (SRP). This panel evaluates risk assessments of substances proposed for identification as toxic air contaminants by CARB, the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment, and the Department of Pesticide Regulation. The public can submit comments prior to the meeting.
Assembly Bill 32 Environmental Justice Advisory Committee Meeting: On August 16 in Sacramento and via remote access, CARB will host a public meeting for the Assembly Bill 32 Environmental Justice Advisory Committee (EJAC). The committee is comprised of representatives from California communities most heavily impacted by air pollution. This upcoming meeting will include a public comment period.
