Blitz USA Case Settles for $90,000

On May 5, 2010, Enforcement Division and the Office of Legal Affairs staff settled a case involving the self-reporting of the sale of non-complying portable fuel containers for $90,000.  The new owners of Blitz USA self-reported that they had manufactured non-complying Blitz USA Pull-N-Pour portable fuel containers after January 1, 2001, that displayed a date of manufacture that had been altered by employees.  These products were then sold in California in violation of Title 13, California Code of Regulations Section 2467.5.
