Big Lots Stores, Inc. and PNS Stores, Inc. Case Settles for $81,000

Between August 2010 and September 2013, Big Lots Stores, Inc. and its subsidiary, PNS Stores, Inc. supplied two types of Splash brand of automotive windshield washer fluid products in California that were in violation of VOC limits contained in ARB’s Consumer Product Regulations. These products were not intended for sale in California by the products’ manufacturer, Splash Products, but Big Lots and PNS Stores distributed to and sold them in Big Lots stores in California. The sale of these products resulted in 5.63 tons of excess VOC emissions. The case was settled on June 3, 2014 for $81,000.
