Bel-Ray Company Case Settles for $7,500

Between January 2005 and August 2007, the Bel-Ray Company supplied Bel-Ray Degreaser and Engine Cleaner that contained VOCs in excess of the 35 percent limit for Aerosol Engine Degreasers to California.  In addition, the company failed to comply with the date code notification requirements of the regulations.  The product has since been reformulated to meet the VOC limit.  The case was settled on June 15, 2009, for $7,500.
