On July 11, 2007, a case was settled with Awesome Products for selling products into California in violation of the date code requirement, Consumer Products Regulation Title 17, CCR, §94512(b). The products did not clearly display the day, month, and year on which the products were manufactured or a code indicating§such date on the containers. The company paid $3,000 in penalties to settle the case.
