AVW Settlement - $1,500

On May 6, 2004, staff of the Consumer Products Enforcement section held a teleconference with Mr. Neal Markus, President of AVW Incorporated. The company was notified earlier that non-compliant aerosol adhesives were being sold into California. The products were subsequently removed from the California market and steps were taken to correct a shipping error. Although a minor violation resulted, the company was very cooperative during the investigation and the case was settled for $1,500.
