Arctic Glacier USA Incorporated Case Settles for $14,400.00
In March 2013, Arctic Glazier U.S.A, Inc. (Arctic Glacier) agreed to pay $14,400.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $10,800.00 goes to the California Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $3,600.00 goes to Peralta Community College District to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology program.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Arctic Glacier failed to comply with the Emission Control Label (ECL) requirements and the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP). ARB documented violations as they related to the PSIP and ECL. To settle the case, Arctic Glacier agreed to the $14,400.00 penalty and to comply with the PSIP, ECL, and other ARB programs.
