$29,500 in Fines Paid by AmeriGas
AmeriGas has paid $29,500.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations. This settlement was reached in November 2006. An investigation by the ARB showed that AmeriGas failed to properly self-inspect their diesel trucks to assure the trucks met state smoke emission standards. ARB documented violations as they related to the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSI). To settle the case, AmeriGas agreed to the $29,500.00 penalty and to comply with the PSI and other HDVIP Programs.
