IVVE Transportation Case Settles for $59,050
Allied Freight Systems Inc. DBA IVVE Transportation agreed to pay $59,050.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations; $44,287.50 will go to the California Air Pollution Control Fund and $14,762.50 to the Peralta Community College District for distribution to participating California Council on Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) colleges. This settlement was reached in June 2011.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that IVVE Transportation failed to comply with the Drayage Truck Regulation by dispatching drayage trucks that are not compliant with the emission standards set forth in the regulation. To settle the case, IVVE Transportation agreed to the $59,050.00 penalty and to comply with the Drayage Truck Regulation.
