Aervoe Industries, Inc. Case Settles for $9,800.00
On October 18, 2012, a case was settled with Aervoe Industries Inc. for selling Aervoe Industries ToolMates Penetrating Oil 6030” subject to the volatile organic compound (VOC) limit for the “Penetrant” category; “Aervo Industries ToolMates Moly Grease 7041” subject to the volatile organic compound (VOC) limit for the Multi-purpose Lubricant category; “Aervoe Industries ToolMates Lithium Grease 7037” subject to the Multi-purpose Lubricant category; and “Aervoe Glass and Surface Cleaner” subject to the General Purpose Cleaner: Aerosols category, title 17, California Code of Regulations, section 94509(a). The products contained concentrations of VOC’s exceeding the percent by weight VOC limits for their respective category. There were approximately 0.37 tons of excess emissions. The company paid $9,800.00 to settle the case.
