California Air Resources Board

Assembly Bill (AB) 617 (C. Garcia, Chapter 136, Statutes of 2017) is focused on improving air quality in communities disproportionately exposed to air pollution in California. The Community Air Protection Program (Program) at the California Air Resources Board (CARB) held two public virtual webinars offering the same content to discuss the Assembly Bill 617 Funding Process. The AB 617 Budget webpage offers an FAQ document and a short slide deck with more information.

The purpose of the webinars is to share information about AB 617 funding, including the allocation process, funding categories, accountability, examples of how funds are used, and opportunities for community participation. We welcome feedback from the public, AB 617 Community Steering Committees, community-based organizations, air districts and other stakeholders about content they would like to see added to these webinars or the FAQ document.
