Virtual Meeting to Discuss the 2020 Community Recommendations and Selection Process for the Community Air Protection Program
In 2018 and 2019, CARB selected a total of 13 communities to develop local plans to measure and reduce air pollution, and work in these communities is well underway. The 2018 communities are implementing community emissions reduction programs and the 2019 communities are developing plans. CARB staff have worked with community-based organizations, air districts, and the public to develop additional community recommendations for CARB’s Board to consider for selection this year. These recommendations will be considered at the December 10-11, 2020 CARB Board meeting.
CARB staff held a statewide virtual meeting noted below to discuss their draft recommendations. During this virtual meeting, participants could ask questions about the additional communities staff is proposing to recommend for CARB Board consideration and CARB’s approach for developing the recommendations.
The virtual meeting was held on November 6, 2020 (4:00 PM – 6:00 PM), a recording of the meeting can be accessed at the link below
