Zimmerman Re-roofing Inc. Case Settles for $1,000
In March 1, 2012 Zimmerman Re-roofing Inc. agreed to pay $1,000.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations; $750.00 went to the California Air Pollution Control Fund; which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality and $250.00 went to Peralta Community College District to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Zimmerman Re-roofing Inc. failed to register their in-use off-road diesel lifts in the Diesel Off-road On-line Reporting System (DOORS) prior to the August 1, 2009 small fleet reporting deadline. ARB documented violations as they related to the In-use Off-road Diesel Vehicle Program (ORDV) as set forth by 13 CCR Section 2449. Zimmerman Re-roofing Inc. has registered their off-road fleet, agreed to pay $1,000.00 in penalties and comply with the ORDV and all applicable ARB regulations.
