Zep Inc. Case Settles for $152,000

Between 2011 and 2015, Zep Inc. sold, supplied, and offered for sale three products which were in violation of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) limits contained in ARB’s Consumer Product Regulations. The sale of these products resulted in 10.06 tons of excess VOC emissions. Zep Inc. has since stopped selling these products in California. The case was settled on October 20, 2015 for $152,000: $114,000.00 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $38,000.00 will go to the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District to fund retrofits and replacements for school buses.
