Winsor Construction, Inc. Case Settles for $6,375.00
In September 2013, Winsor Construction, Inc. paid $6,375.00 for violating air quality regulations: $4,782.00 was paid to the California Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $1,593.00 was paid to the Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Winsor Construction, Inc. failed to properly self-inspect their diesel trucks to assure the trucks met state smoke emission standards. To settle the case, Winsor Construction, Inc. agreed to the $6,375.00 penalty and to comply with the PSIP and other ARB programs.
