Wella Corporation Case Settles for $6,000

On May 10, 2010, a case was settled with the Wella Corporation for selling and/or supplying non-compliant Hair Spray and Hair Mousse in California from February 2004 through December 2005.  These products exceeded the 55 percent by weight volatile organic compound (VOC) limit set under Consumer Products Regulation for the Hair Spray category and the 6 percent by weight VOC limit for Hair Mousse specified in Title 17, CCR, Section 94509(a).  Wella Corporation paid $6,000 to settle this case.
