Walmart Stores, Inc. and KIK International, LLC. Case Settles for $28,600

On October 31, 2014, a case was settled jointly with KIK International, LLC for manufacturing and Walmart Stores, Inc. for selling “Great Value 4-in-1 Bathroom Cleaner” that was in violation of the VOC limit for Bathroom Cleaner category, title 17, California Code of Regulations, section 94509(a). The product was a store brand that contained concentrations of VOC’s exceeding the 1 percent by weight VOC limit. There were approximately 0.61 tons of excess VOC emissions and the companies paid $28,600 to settle the case.
