W. Bockstiegel GmbH & Co. Reederei KG MV BBC Arizona Case Settles for $55,500.00

W. Bockstiegel GmbH & Co. Reederei KG paid $55,500.00 in penalties to the California Air Resources Board, for violating air quality regulations. This settlement was reached on October 22, 2013. An investigation by the ARB showed that the W. Bockstiegel GmbH & Co. Reederei KG vessel BBC Arizona, failed to operate on compliant distillate fuel upon entry into Regulated California Waters in January of 2013. W. Bockstiegel GmbH & Co. Reederei KG took prompt action after being notified of these violations and under ARB’s supervision began operating in a compliant fashion. To settle the case, W. Bockstiegel GmbH & Co. Reederei KG agreed to the $55,500.00 penalty and to comply with ARB regulations.
