Vogue International Case Settles for $7,247
On May 23, 2012, a case was settled with Vogue International, for selling non-compliant FX Curl Booster in California that exceeded the 6 percent by weight VOC limit for hair styling product in the Consumer Products Regulation. The company was also in violation of Section 94512(b)(1), which states that if a manufacturer uses a code indicating the date of manufacture, for any consumer product subject to section 94509, an explanation of the code must be filed with the ARB. The product was sold from 2006 through 2010 and there were 0.5 tons of excess VOC emissions attributable to the violations. Vogue International, agreed to pay $7,247 to settle the case.
