Valco Cincinnati Consumer Products Inc. Case Settles for $6,000

On January 5, 2015, a case was settled with Valco Cincinnati Consumer Products, Inc. for selling/manufacturing “Valco Cincinnati Phase 2” subject to the VOC limit for the General Purpose Degreaser: Non-aerosol category, (4 percent by weight VOC limit), and “Fast Shine”, subject to the Automotive Wax/Polish/Sealant/Glaze: Instant Detailer category, (3 percent by weight VOC limit), title 17, California Code of Regulations, section 94509(a). The products contained concentrations of VOC’s exceeding the percent by weight VOC limit of their respective categories. Excess emissions in this case could not be calculated and the company paid $6,000.00 to settle the case.
