U.S. Standard Products Case Settles for $23,760
A case was settled with U.S. Standard Products (Englewood, New Jersey) for selling an Lubricant-Penetrant products into California that contained concentrations of Toxic Air Contaminant (TAC) that is prohibited in the standards specified in the Consumer Product Regulation, title 17, California Code of Regulations section 94509(m)(1). U.S. Standard Products paid $23,760 in penalties for 1.32 tons of excess TAC emissions. To come into compliance, U.S. Standard Products has removed the Lubricant-Penetrant products and is no longer selling this product in California.
