Turn 14 Distribution, Inc. Settles For $1,004,000
In March 2025, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) reached a settlement with Turn 14 Distribution, Inc. (Turn 14), an aftermarket vehicle parts distributor headquartered in Horsham, Pennsylvania, for violations related to the sale and distribution of non-exempted add-on or modified aftermarket parts and devices in California. CARB alleged that Turn 14 sold and distributed parts or devices that alter or modify the original design or performance of required motor vehicle pollution control devices or systems and that the parts and devices have not been exempted by CARB. This conduct was in violation of the Vehicle Code sections 27156 and 38391; and the Add-On Parts and Modified Parts (Aftermarket Parts Regulation), as codified in the California Code of Regulations, title 13, sections 2220 et seq.
CARB’s settlement was the result of a collaborative effort with the California Attorney General’s Office. CARB referred this case to the California Attorney General’s Office to assist in resolution. To settle the case, Turn 14 agreed to a penalty of $1,004,000. The full penalty amount will be deposited into CARB’s Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality.
