Traxxas, L.P. Settles For $3,000
In January 2025, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) reached a settlement with Traxxas, L.P. (Traxxas), with its principal location in McKinney, Texas, for the company’s violation of the Regulation for Reducing the Ozone Formed from Aerosol Coating Product Emissions (Aerosol Coating Products Regulation), as codified in California Code of Regulations, title 17, section 94520-94528.
An investigation conducted by CARB staff revealed that Traxxas failed to meet the labeling requirements in the Aerosol Coating Products Regulation (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 17, § 94524(b)(1)).
Traxxas fully cooperated with CARB to resolve this matter. Terms of the settlement include a requirement for Traxxas to comply with all other CARB regulations going forward. The total civil penalty amount of $3,000 will be deposited into CARB’s Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality.
