Trafficanda Egg Ranches, Inc. Case Settles for $45,698
TRAFFICANDA EGG RANCHES, INC. will pay $45,698.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $34,274.00 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $11,424.00 will go to the Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program. This settlement was reached in February 2016.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that TRAFFICANDA EGG RANCHES, INC. failed to bring their diesel trucks and Transport Refrigeration Units (TRU) into compliance with the applicable requirements. ARB documented violations as they related to the TRU Airborne Toxic Control Measure (ATCM) and the Truck and Bus (T&B) Regulation. To settle the case, TRAFFICANDA EGG RANCHES, INC. agreed to the $45,698.00 penalty and to comply with TRU ATCM, TB Regulation, and other ARB programs.
