TMS Tankers Ltd. Case Settles for $5,000.00

TMS Tankers Ltd. has paid $5,000.00 in penalties to the Air Resources Board, for violating air quality regulations. This settlement was reached on September 17, 2013. An investigation by the ARB showed that the TMS Tankers Ltd. vessel, Stealth Chios, failed to operate on compliant distillate fuel upon entry into Regulated California Waters. TMS Tankers Ltd. took prompt action after being notified of these violations and under ARB’s supervision began operating in a compliant fashion. To settle the case, TMS Tankers Ltd. agreed to the $5,000.00 penalty and to comply with ARB regulations.
