TLM Trading, Inc. Settlement
TLM Trading, Inc. Case Settles for $4,500
TLM Trading, Inc. will pay $4,500.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $3,375.00 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $1,125.00 will go to the Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program. This settlement was reached in November 2015.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that TLM Trading, Inc. failed to properly self-inspect eight of their diesel trucks to assure the trucks met state smoke emission standards. ARB documented violations as they related to the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP). To settle the case, TLM Trading, Inc. agreed to the $4,500.00 penalty and to comply with PSIP and other ARB programs.
