Thoresen and Co. Ltd. Case Settles for $7,500

Thoresen and Co. (Bangkok) Ltd. paid $7,500.00 in penalties to the California Air Resources Board, for violating air quality regulations. This settlement was reached on October 12, 2015. An investigation by the ARB showed that the Thoresen and Co. (Bangkok) Ltd. vessel Thor Maximus failed to operate on compliant distillate fuel upon entry into Regulated California Waters in 2015. Thoresen and Co. (Bangkok) Ltd. took prompt action after being notified of these violations and under ARB’s supervision began operating in a compliant fashion. To settle the case, Thoresen and Co. (Bangkok) Ltd. agreed to the $7,500.00 penalty and to comply with ARB regulations.
