Thome Ship Management Ltd. Case Settles for $16,000

Thome Ship Management Ltd. paid $16,000.00 in penalties to the California Air Resources Board, for violating air quality regulations. This settlement was reached on January 23, 2014. An investigation by the ARB showed that Thome Ship Management Ltd. vessel Skamandros, failed to operate on compliant distillate fuel upon entry into Regulated California Waters on multiple dates in 2013. Thome Ship Management Ltd. took prompt action after being notified of these violations and under ARB’s supervision began operating in a compliant fashion. To settle the case, Thome Ship Management Ltd. agreed to the $16,000.00 penalty and to comply with ARB regulations.
