TAP (Transamerican Auto Parts) Worldwide, LLC Case Settles for $500,750
In December 2014, TAP Worldwide, LLC dba 4 Wheel Parts (TAP) settled its case with the Air Resources Board (ARB). A routine investigation by ARB revealed that TAP advertised and sold aftermarket performance parts which did not have anti-tampering exemptions as required by California Vehicle Code Section 27156 and 38391. TAP has agreed to pay a total amount of $500,750, consisting of a penalty of $375,563 to the Air Pollution Control Fund and $125,187 to the School Bus and Diesel Emission Reduction Supplemental Environmental Project.
