Tamiya America, Inc. Case Settles for $6,750
During routine inspections of retail locations in California, California Air Resources Board (CARB) inspectors obtained samples of aerosol coating products distributed by Tamiya America, Inc. of Irvine, California. The products did not display the aerosol coating category, reactivity limit, and manufacturing date as required by the Aerosol Coating Products Regulation, title 17, California Code of Regulations (17 CCR), section 94524(b). In addition, Tamiya did not correctly report the product-weighted maximum incremental reactivity values for the products as required by 17 CCR section 94526(b). Tamiya America has settled the violations for $6,750 and has brought the products into compliance with the Aerosol Coating Products Regulation.
