Stockton Trading Company Case Settles for $4,000
In April, 2011 Stockton Trading Company agreed to pay $4,000 in penalties; $3,000 to the California Air Pollution Control Fund and $1,000 to Peralta Community College District, for violating air quality regulations.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Stockton Trading Company failed to properly self-inspect their diesel trucks to assure the trucks met state smoke emission standards. ARB documented violations as they related to the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP). To settle the case, Stockton Trading Company agreed to the $4,000 penalty and to comply with the PSIP and other ARB programs.
