Starline Tours of Hollywood, Inc. Case Settles for $7,500.00
In January 2014, Starline Tours agreed to pay $7,500 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $5,625 will go to the California Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $1,875 will go to Peralta Community College District to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Starline Tours failed to meet the engine model year compliance schedule. ARB documented violations as they related to the Truck & Bus Regulation. To settle the case, Starline Tours agreed to the $7,500 penalty and to comply with the Truck & Bus Regulation, and all other ARB diesel emission regulations.
