SpecChem LLC Case Settles for $20,000.00

Between October 2009 and November 2012, SpecChem, LLC supplied into California their Citrus Cleaner product that contained VOCs in excess of the 4% limit for non-aerosol General Purpose Cleaners. In addition, no date code explanation was provided to the ARB. According to SpecChem, the product was not intended for the California marketplace. SpecChem immediately ceased sale of the product and initiated a recall. Approximately 1.28 tons of excess emissions resulted from the violation. The case was settled on April 19, 2013 for $20,000.
