Southwest Pipeline and Trenchless Corporation Case Settlement
Southwest Pipeline and Trenchless Corporation Case Settles for $18,500
Southwest Pipeline and Trenchless Corporation will pay $18,500 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $18,500 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality. This settlement was reached in September 2017.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Southwest Pipeline and Trenchless Corporation failed to bring five of their heavy duty diesel trucks into compliance with the applicable in-use performance standards. Southwest Pipeline and Trenchless Corporation also failed to report all required information for seven vehicles in the fleet, as required by the Truck and Bus (TB) Regulation. ARB documented violations as they related to the Truck and Bus Regulation (TB ) as codified in California Code of Regulations, title 13, section 2025 (13 CCR § 2025). To settle the case, Southwest Pipeline and Trenchless Corporation agreed to the $18,500 penalty and to comply with TB and other ARB programs.
