Welcome to your resource for exploring approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Data Quality Management for monitoring organizations (MO) within CARB’s Primary Quality Assurance Organization (PQAO).
Data Quality Management documents are separated into two main categories: Data Management and Other Quality Management Documents. Data Management is primarily composed of documents relating to Data Review and Validation for both Gaseous Pollutants and Particulate Matter. The purpose of SOPs relating to Data Review and Validation is to outline how ambient air monitoring staff are to review, verify, and validate ambient air quality data before releasing the data for use. Other Quality Management Documents can support data management systems, data acquisition systems, and related processes that ensure reliable and consistent data handling.
Approved quality management documents* within CARB's PQAO are shown based on their origin:
- A#: Addendum number assigned to an addendum developed by a monitoring organization and approved by CARB.
- CARB: Developed and approved by CARB.
- MO: Developed by a monitoring organization within CARB's PQAO and approved by CARB.
