Solo Fragrance, Inc. Case Settles for $4,000.00

On October 14, 2013, a Consumer Products case was settled with Solo Fragrance Inc. for selling and/or supplying non-compliant Personal Fragrance products that contain 20% or less fragrance. These products manufactured in India, contributed to 18.5 pounds excess volatile organic compounds ( VOC ) emissions due to exceeding the 75.0% by weight VOC limit set under Consumer Products Regulation (Title 17, CCR, section 94509(a)). In addition, the products contained high levels of methanol which was not identified on the label and did not contain any warning labels specific to the methanol content. Solo Fragrance Inc. paid $4,000 to settle this case.
