Shurhold Industries, Inc. Case Settles for $5,600

Between January 2011 and September 2014, Shurhold Industries, Inc. manufactured for sale in California their Shurhold’s Yacht Brite Serious Shine product and Shurhold’s Yacht Brite Serious Marine Cleaner products that were in violation of 8% VOC limit for aerosol General Purpose Cleaners and the 0.5% VOC limit for non-aerosol General Purpose Cleaners, respectively. Neither of the products were formulated correctly for the California marketplace. Both products have since been reformulated to meet the VOC requirements. Approximately 72.7 pounds of excess emissions resulted from the violation. The case was settled on March 11, 2015 for $5,600.
