Shultz Laboratories Inc. Companies Case Settles for $4,450

Shultz Laboratories Inc. (Boone, Iowa) sold, supplied, and offered for sale a non-compliant metal polish in California. On September 8, 2014 a settlement was reached for violations involving “White Diamond Metal Polish”. The product contained concentrations of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) exceeding the Metal Polish or Cleaner Category VOC limit of 3% as specified in title 17, CCR, section 94512(a). The violation resulted in 0.16 tons of excess VOC emissions. Shultz Laboratories Inc. modified the product in order to become compliant.
