Sears Holding Management Corporation Case Settles for $28,000

On August 6, 2010, Sears Holdings Management Corporation settled alleged violations of the Consumer Products Regulations for $28,000 in lieu of litigation.  Sears Holdings Management Corporation imported bags of the BBQ Pro Instant Light Charcoal (8-lb. bag) product from China that were not certified.  Offering uncertified “charcoal lighter material” for sale in California is a violation of the regulations.
