Sea Planes, Inc. and American Marine Corporation (Commercial Harbor Craft) Cases Settles for $1,000

During the month of October, 2009, SEIES staff conducted Commercial Harbor Craft (CHC) Inspections and discovered that two companies, Sea Planes, Inc. and American Marine Corporation, failed to file Initial Reports as required in CHC Regulation.  Notices of Violation (NOV) were issued to each company and a penalty was assessed.  In January 2010, both companies settled their respective NOVs by submitting an Initial Report and paying a penalty of $500 each.  SEIES staff will continue to conduct inspections by verifying equipment and hour meter readings match information submitted to the Air Resources Board (ARB) via Initial Reports.
