$5,000 in Fines Paid by Sea Foam Sales Company

On December 15, 2004, Enforcement Division staff obtained samples of the Sea Foam Motor Treatment. The ARB alleges after December 31, 2002, the Sea Foam Sales Company sold, supplied, offered for sale, or manufactured for sale into California 121,368 (16 fl. oz.) containers of the Sea Foam Motor Treatment product subject to the volatile organic compound (VOC) limit in the Carburetor or Fuel-Injection Air Intake Cleaners category. The VOC content of the Sea Foam Motor Treatment product exceeded the 45 percent VOC limit for Carburetor or Fuel-Injection Air Intake Cleaners category. On September 9, 2005, Sea Foam Sales Company agreed to settle this case for $5,000.
