Scot/Jeff Leasing Company, Inc. Case Settles for $750
In September 2013, Scot / Jeff Leasing Company, Inc. paid $750.00 for violating air quality regulations: $563.00 was paid to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $187.00 was paid to the Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Scot / Jeff Leasing Company, Inc. failed to properly self-inspect their diesel trucks to assure the trucks met state smoke emission standards. To settle the case, Scot / Jeff Leasing Company, Inc. agreed to the $750.00 penalty and to comply with the PSIP and other ARB programs.
