San Benito County Local Transportation Authority Case Settles for $750

In March 2010, San Benito County Local Transportation Authority agreed to pay $750 in penalties for violating air quality regulations; $562.50 to the California Air Pollution Control Fund, and $187.50 to the Peralta Community College District for distribution to participating California Council on Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) colleges.  An ARB investigation showed that San Benito County Local Transportation Authority failed to reduce its diesel particulate matter emissions, as required by the Fleet Rule for Transit Agencies, 13 CCR, Section 2032.2 (b)(1).  To settle this case San Benito County Local Transportation Authority agreed to pay the $750 penalty and to comply with Transit Fleet Rule and other ARB regulations.
