SalonQuest LLC Case Settles for $50,750

On April 14, 2014, a case was settled with SalonQuest LLC for selling “Aquage Working Spray” and “Aquage Transforming Spray” subject to the VOC limit for Hairstyling Products: Aerosol and Pump Spray category, title 17, California Code of Regulations, section 94509(a). The products contained concentrations of VOC’s exceeding the 6 percent by weight VOC limit. There were approximately 5.64 tons of excess emissions. The company paid $50,750.00 to settle the case.
