CARB has verified the RYPOS ActiveDPF/C3+TM active diesel particulate filter as a Level 3 Plus diesel emission control device for application to diesel engines on rubber tired gantry (RTG) cranes, both diesel-electric and diesel-hydraulic, when used on certified Tier 3, 2, or 1, or pre certification, or Tier 4i with a rated horse power between 50 and 75 or over 750, or Tier 4 Alt 20% NOx and PM nonroad diesel engines, subject to the terms and conditions specified below. Level 3 Plus verification means that the system will reduce diesel particulate matter (PM) emissions by 85 percent or more and meets the January 2009 NO2 limit.
