Off-Road Fleet Average Calculators
The fleet average calculators are Excel spreadsheets designed to assist fleet owners in calculating their fleet average index and fleet average targets, based on the engine model year and horsepower (hp) input for each vehicle in the fleet. The calculators allow fleet owners to experiment with different turnover, repower, and retrofit strategies to plan for compliance with the In-Use Off-Road Diesel-Fueled Fleets Regulation.
There are three different fleet average calculators, each one corresponding to a different fleet size. If the total hp of all the vehicles in your fleet is less than or equal to 2,500 then your fleet is small, and you would use the fleet average calculator for small fleets. If your fleet has greater than 2,500 and less than or equal to 5,000 total hp then it is medium. Any fleet with greater than 5,000 total hp is large.
There are exceptions to the above fleet size categories - for example, all state or federally owned fleets are large regardless of total hp. For more information on these exceptions, see the "Fleet Size - Private Fleets" and "Fleet Size - Public Fleets" FAQ's in the Off-Road Zone under Regulation FAQs.
Fleet Average Calculators
Large Fleets (> 5,000 total hp OR State/Federal Fleet) | Medium Fleets (2,501 - 5,000 total hp) | Small Fleets (< 2,500 total hp OR Captive Attainment Area fleets OR local municipality fleets in a small population county) |
