Rico Trucking LLC Case Settles for $10,125
Rico Trucking LLC will pay $10,125 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $10,125 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality. This settlement was reached in July 2017.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Rico Trucking LLC failed to perform annual vehicle smoke opacity testing on all applicable trucks in their diesel fleet. ARB documented violations as they related to the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP) as codified in California Code of Regulations, title 13, section 2180-2194 (13 CCR § 2180-2194). To settle the case, Rico Trucking LLC agreed to the $10,125 penalty and to comply with PSIP and other ARB programs.
